Summer Missions
What is World Changers???
World Changers is a Mission Project of the North American Mission Board. Each Summer, students from all over the United States go to different locations to "home work".
You will be divided into groups with students from all over the U.S. where we go into "lower income" neighborhoods, and do home repair work. Roofing, painting, yardwork, are just some of the things that we do.
Each day we will have breakfast at our school, and then go to the job site. At the job site, you will have a construction boss, these are people that are familiar with construction work. They will be telling you what you will be doing for the day. You'll have breaks and also have your lunch at the job site.
When quitting time comes, you will go back to the school where you will shower and get ready for dinner. After dinner, we have an AWESOME worship service. Then it's to bed and get ready to do it all again.
This year we will be going back to Tupelo, Mississippi. We will be staying at Tupelo Middle School. This is where we will sleep, have our meals, showers, and our evening worship services. You'll need an air mattress or something comfortable to sleep on, as we make our home for the week in a classroom. The project date this year is July 12th-19th. On Wednesday afternoon, we will have a break from the work and have the afternoon off. On Sunday, May 4th we will have our "One Day registration". At this meeting we will fill out forms as well as take up your money for the trip. I will also be answering any questions that you might have about the trip.
Sup Youth...
This Summer is going to be a great one. Those of you that joined us last Summer in Mobile, know what an awesome experience it was. This year will be no different. Maybe this will be your first trip with Crossroads, and maybe you're an old pro, whatever the case, I know that you will receive a huge blessing. Don't forget...May 4th @ 4:00, One Day Registration. The cost is $130 dollars unless there is more than one student from your family going, then it is $90 per student. You will need at least one of your parents here for this meeting, to sign papers and also we will have your information stamped by a notary public.
