Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Ministry of West End Baptist Church is directed by the Holy Spirit and is facilitated by the members of the Prayer Committee and the Prayer Warriors themselves.
There are numerous opportunities to provide prayer support at West End.
The committee maintains an active Telephone Prayer Chain with over 30 prayer warriors. In addition, we have an e-mail prayer chain which distributes prayer requests submitted via the website to over 75 prayer warriors almost every day.
Over the past three years, the committee has created six prayer rooms. These rooms are manned by church members during church services to pray pointedly for specific needs.
The six prayer rooms are:
- Intercessory Prayer Room (Sunday Morning and Evening Services), targeted toward interceding for church members and their friends and families based on submitted requests and the guidance of the Holy Spirit).
- War Room (Sunday Morning and Evening Services), geared toward prayer for the Lost and Unchurched in our community and for Church members who have strayed from our congregation)
- Pastors Power Station (Sunday Morning and Evening Services), originally developed to be manned by our deacons who would pray for our Pastor, the focus of this room has grown to include Ministers throughout our county)
- Family Prayer Room (Sunday Morning and Evening Services), for prayers focusing on strengthening and encouraging the families of our church and raising our children in loving, Christ-centered homes)
- Missions Prayer Room (Sunday Morning and Evening Services), a room specifically for missions. From home missions to foreign, each Sunday we have people who pray for the missionaries of today and the next generation of missionaries)
- Building For God's Glory Room(Sunday Morning and Evening Services), our newest prayer room dedicated to the future growth of God's church here at West End Baptist Church
- Youth Prayer Room (Wednesday evenings), staffed by parents and friends who are praying for the spiritual walk of our youth and for them to follow the guidance of Christ as they mature)
